Each Hmong refugee story is unique, yet there are so many shared experiences. Twin Cities writer, Shoua Lee, share her experience being a child interpreter, a common story among refugee children.

Shoua Lee’s mother, Tsai Lee, shares her stories in Hmong about life in Laos and then life in the cramped and desolate camps where they lived for four years.
