Private: Hmong Digital Stories

Make an instant impact through this intense short course on Digital Storytelling.

Chuayi Yang created a short digital story about her family’s transition from France to the United States.

The Hmong Digital Stories project provides an opportunity for Hmong community members to select and partner with a Hmong elder to create a 3 minute video of one story in their lives. This project creates far reaching intergenerational dialogue by truly listening to these stories and making them available for our 21st Century audience.

Weekly working sessions will provide support and tools for participants to learn about the process of digital story making including story collection, script-writing, audio-recording, and digital story compilation.  The final product of this project will be a 2 – 3 minute long digital story that will focus on one of the Elder’s stories and conclude with a fun filled evening showcasing the works in August.
